We are Cascade Eye & Skin Centers, P.C. and we are looking for an experienced Ophthalmology Technician to join our retina team! Location: Puyallup, WA and Must travel to the University Place location once a week

Essential Duties

· Working knowledge of OCT application and operation. FA or phlebotomy experience is a plus!

· Diabetic Retinopathy, ARMD and other retinal specific disease knowledge

· Assist with intravitreal injections; prepare consent forms for signature, organize instruments and/or supplies, clean, dry, sterilize/autoclave instruments

· Perform scribing tasks as directed by provider; prepare prescriptions indicated during the exam for provider’s signature at conclusion of exam. (Preferred)

· Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision

· Interact professionally with other employees, supervisors, patients and providers

· Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments

· Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, supervisors and providers

· Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit and capturing all Meaningful Use measures in the patient’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PQRS.

· Monitor patient flow and check reception area to ensure all patients are accounted for.

Compensation: Range $20-$30 per hour dependent on exp/certifications

Travel: Puyallup, WA and Must travel to the University Place location once a week
